These magnificent-fusion crusted Holbrook individuals are from the historic H.H. Nininger American Meteorite Lab Collection. They were acquired directly from the Centre for Meteorite Studies at ASU in an institutional trade. ASU purchased the bulk of Nininger’s collection during the 1960s and these specimens were stored in a tray of AML specimens, alongside larger specimens with numbers.
Too small to carry hand painted numbers, each Nininger Holbrook is accompanied by a special certificate of authenticity/ID card personally signed by Aerolite owner, Geoff Notkin, and verifying its ironclad Nininger provenance.
The weight of each piece varies, but they are all excellent individuals with fresh, black fusion crust, and were picked up shortly after the 1912 fall. The average weight is about 2 grams.
