America’s most famous meteorite, Canyon Diablo, is found in the area surrounding Arizona’s magnificent Meteor Crater — the best preserved meteorite crater on Earth. H.H. Nininger studied it for years and found specimens miles from the point of impact. The crater is an important scientific site and a ban on meteorite hunting is strictly enforced by the owners. Specimens of this historic and important meteorite are very difficult to obtain and ours come from old collections. Our team in the USA had the privilege of working and filming at Meteor Crater several times with NASA EDGE, BBC’s Globe Trekker and the educational series STEM Journals.
